Storm Drain Stenciling is a project aimed to reduce marine litter and raise public awareness about the harm of litter. Stencils that read “Don’t Dump: Drains to Long Island Sound” are used along with spray paint to mark storm drains in a community with this message.
The purpose is to inform the public that anything they throw in the storm drain will end up in Long Island Sound.
